Landscape Narrative ? Beaver Dam Run is basically a medium sized valley. The open areas are dominated by either Solidago rugosa or Dichanthelium clandestinum. Some higher terraces contain conifers and Northern Hardwoods. See plots USFS.285,287,310 and MONF.104,105,106;Red spruce-Eastern hemlock. Plot is located along forest non-forest edge. A small side channel cuts through plot. Tsuga canadensis and Picea rubens are the dominant trees.
Representativeness ? Plot data from USFS spreadsheets and shapefiles. Original files on disk and in Plotdata/USFS directory. Numerous taxonomic assumptions made, since taxonomic data consisted only of 4-letter USFS code. Two partial USFS translation sheets for these codes
